Daycraft Just Made My Day
I just realized Daycraft (Facebook) is FINALLY offering their own online store in English… and, what’s even better, not only are they offering shipping WORLDWIDE, they are also offering FREE shipping worldwidwe! You’ll probably still get hit by customs if you order too much at the same time, but whatever, I am really happy for them, because I loved their Make My Day diaries! Also, their viral marketing efforts to equip notebook bloggers for free with their products, is something I really like… probably also because they even sent me free stuff twice and I am not exactly what you’d call an influential blogger on notebooks, I’m just a Moleskine fan.
Anyways. I’ll definitely some stuff there in the not-so-faraway-future. Any recommendations? Btw, anyone got a promo code?
It’s a bit odd to RT myself from my main tumblelog, but I guess it’s OK for this one:
The Sketchbook Project Limited Edition Vol. 1 is a collaborative series of art books created by 5,000 artists from around the world.
Anyone — from anywhere in the world — can participate in the project. Sign up to receive a blank sketchbook in the mail, then fill it up and send it back. Your work will be cataloged in the Brooklyn Art Library and published in the Limited Edition art book series.
Uh-oh, I’m in “Daycraft” trouble.
In 2010, a very clever marketing person at Daycraft sent me a couple of Daycraft 2011 diaries and notebooks to spread the word among non-Asian bloggers and to see whether the Western market would be ready for their products. While I was pretty positive about the products themselves, I did not have the time to review them and I gave the Make My Day diary to my sister. That was a mistake. She loves it. And now, I want to get the 2012 edition for her for Christmas (and some of the Animal Pals books, a Signature sketchbook for myself, an Animaland planner for her, a couple of Cream Cookie bookies for friends, Juicy books, Cantoons… you get the idea), but I can’t find a single online shop that would ship ALL of them to Europe.
Imho, Daycraft notebooks are a cheerful alternative to Moleskines if you want to be a little less serious about what you’re doing. And if you take a look at the covers, you really get the idea that those people love to pay attention to details. They are also on Facebook, just in case you’re curious.
Yes, I found the links on the Daycraft website and yes, I found Mr. Lee’s savvy comment on notizbuchblog and I found the UK retailer (without online shop) TrinityXtras, but: verachan.com ships from Australia (customs? Shipping time?) and doesn’t have all of them either; and the UK retailer apparently doesn’t ship to people who just want to order a couple of Daycraft notebooks.
Yes, you can buy the Cookie ones in the MoMa shop, but I want to avoid paying horrendous shipping fees at multiple online shops.
And you can find out more about Daycraft notebooks on all these websites:
- Plannerisms
- OfficeSupplyGeek
- Notebookstories
- Planet Millie
- Notebook Loves Pen
- notizbuchblog (German)
So… anyone knows where I can get them in Europe for Christmas?
